"To be an artist is sort of an enigma. It is one thing to have a naturally creative spirit. It is quite another to be mechanically inclined as well. Being a jeweler not only means you must develop a sense for technology, you must evoke a particular obsession with perfection. You must create something that others find magical or impossible to understand. When I make jewelry, I find great happiness in rendering a spectacle. My paint brushes are hammers and my pigment is made of gold. All who see this work of art enjoy it's beauty, but also question it's creation. I want the women who wear my jewelry to remain as mysterious as the piece they adorn and to instill a curiosity in every admirer they lend grace to."
Camille Carnevale fine jewelry was founded in 2005 in Albany, New York by designer Camille Carnevale. Camille has completed advanced training as a bench jeweler at Studio Jewelers Ltd. in New York City as well as receiving her Graduate Gemologist diploma from the Gemological Institute of America. In addition, Camille has studied mechanical drafting and Jewelry Design at the GIA. Her inspirations come from the elegance of victorian fashion and the cryptic aesthetic of ancient Egypt. Although, she is mostly inspired when she is finishing a modern heirloom that tells a story, becomes a part of someone’s life and can be passed from one generation to the next.
